Zandplaat is the personal enterprise of Deniz Üstem - an architect based in Amsterdam with a deep fascination for how energy transition, circular design, and climate resilient approaches intersect with the built environment. 
Deniz has been living and working in the Netherlands since graduating from TU Delft with an M.Sc. in Architecture. At the time she initiated her personal projects, she was working at Synopel Architects where she actively engaged in projects to realize the energy transition and sustainability projects. Currently, she is living and working in Amsterdam, with a focus on renovation and transformation projects.
